Changing the consciousness of the Ummah
Formed by a group of like-minded individuals with the intention to make an impact in the lives of the common Muslim, IJMA Foundation has been conceived with a common belief: “Changing the Consciousness of the Ummah”
In these technologically advanced times that we live in, it is of utmost importance for the Muslim Ummah to stay updated with the achievements of successful people around the world, at the same time staying grounded within the religious values and cultural morals of Islam. We hope to inspire and motivate our fellow Muslims for the good of all.
Considering the spirit of today’s Ummah, the Muslim Community, we find an alarming level of degradation and decomposing within the community – ranging from degradation of personal ethics to conceited, perverted and selfish social interactions; and not to mention the unethical practices of the people in their day-to-day life. Being untruthful is so common that being truthful seems to be a disadvantage and harmful – cunningness is replacing intellect, commitment is demanding compensation, passion is conceited, desires are many.
All this is due to the fact that the Muslim has put aside the qualities and values of the Islamic System – a system that prescribes the building of the perfect character. Right now the deterioration of character is to such a drastic extent that it is high time a wave of reform hits. A wave of Islamic ethics is desperately needed to wash and launder the hearts and minds of the youth, the standard-bearers of tomorrow.
Essentially, the need of the hour is to:
1) Inculcate honesty and truthfulness among the youth
2) Inculcate a sense of discipline and dedication
3) Inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the society/community
4) Inculcate a neutrality towards discriminating the discrimination
5) Come forward to help the needy – in whatever kind, be it in livelihood, education, profession, etc.
